Those numbers were based on an article I read or a podcast I heard a few weeks ago. It could have been from Corona cast but I'm not sure.
Not completely sure where it was now so I'll go with my own numbers instead.
Aust pop. 25 million. Sweden 10.23 million. Swedish deaths - 5743. Australian deaths - 200.
So, on that very simple comparison it is just under 15000 deaths for Australia if we had a largely unrestricted policy somewhat similar to Sweden.
The Swedish example is the one that is regularly referred to in the media and also by the wonderful posters on HC .
Yes, one could drill down more to try and make even more accurate estimates. Clearly there are differences between Sweden and Australia. I didn't think it was necessary to have to point that out for the forum. I kind of figured most adults would've been able to work that out for themselves.
