    Aus. 25.5. SWE. 10.23. Sweden death total - 5743.

    25.5 / 10.23 = 2.4926.

    5743 X 2.4926 = 14315.

Yeah, that's pretty close to 15k I reckon.

At the time when the number was mentioned they also talked about the potential death rates in the indigenous community etc. So, a number between 15k and 20k is a totally reasonable range.

Might be better to say 10 to 20 k range. Would that suit you better ?

Either way, it is a significant difference to the 200 deaths in Australia, as tragic as they are.

As I pointed out originally, it was a general calculation based on the known death rate in Sweden and the population of both countries. A pretty good starting point.

Given the massive difference in the numbers between the two countries, it seems pretty obvious the Australian state and federal governmnets didn't hesitate to commence shutdowns given the potential numbers for Australia.

Obviously you want to argue for the sake of arguing re the demographic waffle. It appears the CMOs around the country didn't waste too much time worrying about that as they numbers were compelling regardless.

Still waiting for you to post your estimate seeing as you want to be so fussy about it.

What are they based on all those factors you mentioned ?
