Deep down the vast majority of people know that what's happening now in terms of "normal" lifestyle and day-to-day comings and goings is occurring on strictly borrowed time.

A tiny sliver of folk - who clearly don't spend much of their time contemplating the most rudimentary economic principles - might have vaguely heard the sound of the torpedo hit, but are blissfully unaware that the gaping hole is being merely papered over with dollar bills from the government.
