I don't agree at all.
Herd immunity ? What's an acceptable death rate to achieve that ?
Looking after the vulnerable means a shutdown anyway. To completely isolate aged care and those that service the industry would be a massive resource drain. Then you would have to virtually isolate hospitals also well as they contain many vulnerable as well. And so it goes on.
Further to that, having Covid running rampant would still kill many businesses. Whose going to go to crowded events, pubs, restaurants, schools etc ?
