The lithium stocks have lately been rising as indictated by the rise of the LIT etf of +6.2% since hitting the june low.

The major lithium stocks are trading near their yearly and all time highs which were in fact made just the week prior. The preceding high for the major lithium majors were in April 2011.

The smaller end of lithium stocks, eg. LAC and ORE are down 21 and 42% from the midpoint of their yearly trading ranges - adjusted for currency. ORE is down a whoppin 123% from its high and down 108% in USD terms.

It'd be correct to say that risk (in the form of exploration/development companies versus established producers) HAS BEEN out of fashion lately, rather than lithium - which actually has been fashionable lately. The decline in the ORE share price is more likely to be a result of a significant holder(/s) who's(/ve) mismanaged their tolerance to risk and as a consequence is(/are) selling down/out - rather than anything specific to the company.

ORE's been great value for a while now and becoming greater by the day. The company raised capital at $3.20 just a couple months back! what's changed? the lithium price has gone up, the stock pirces of the lithium majors have gone up. I guess is all we can do is thank the gambling nutter who borrowed excessively to buy shares and has felt the pinch.

Disc. bought more at $1.82 yesterday. Had bought more last week at $2.05-$2.12. I think my ave. buy price is now about $2.20 :)
