Advantage for CN beyond scale is wholesale set up by Ontario gov to attract foreign investments and create a mfr hub for EVs & batteries, well positioned to support north America and possibly Europe too.

Can Australia muster a similar position in this geo beyond just being a resources country? South Korea/Japanese interests def needed but with China Indo in same geo, Albo & co need to activate and accelerate their moves. EU auto marques starting to look at Indo despite the ESG concerns. Indo making same EV mfr moves as the Canadians. Begs q of how quickly can Australia move, esp to support the local Nickel sector that will continue to suffer in the short run.
