All airlines have extremely high capex and low margins. Virgin is no exception. As in the GFC any company with high debt levels got absolutely canned. I don't think this is GFC 2 bit quite obviously a lot of investors do.

If Tiger is dangerous and I place a value on my life of 1c, Virgin is just of dangerous. I also have a friend in Virgin senior management who said that corks were popping in head office when tiger was grounded. Personally he said that tiger air was fine and there was no major problem with them and that he had flown with them in his capacity working for virgin.
