With all the wildlife bouncing around in the bush - usually in places which are rife with snakes, you'd have to wonder why more of them don't get killed through snakebite. Well I tend to wonder about it.
Sometimes I'd see the wombats at night walking happily over the paddocks and yet I'd be carefully watching where I'd walk after I stepped out of the vehicle to open the gate. As you return to the vehicle you'd be blinded by the car lights so that makes it even harder to pick out things on the ground.
