    Agreed … and better still but it would cost heaps work toward converting major railways (Brisbane Cairns etc) to at least Medium gauge (think that’s the right term)

    Local/City lines maybe able to stay on narrow gauge in the short term to smooth over the cost.

    Just some thoughts.
