Agree wth you iron m , there is absolutely no environmental logic to Australia introducing a carbon tax ( given its small size)- even if could prove a link between introducing the tax worldwide and improving our future environment (which is extremely weak and unreliable IMO). (In fact this whole greenhouse gas tax reminds us of the poorly thought out government reaction juring the great depression where goverments did exactly the opposite to what they should have done and tightened the supply of money)
Hardly any of the economists and academics live in the real world, and the current minority government's answer to any question is "introduce a tax" and give us more money to inefficiently allocate.
