In this context it is degrading to women, Asian or not, doctors or not. AND mysognistic - as someone said - if this had been Abbott - all HELL would have erupted!

Your pretence of possessing some "superior" knowledge of diagnostic techniques and prostate cancer issues and avenues which you feel equips you well enough to dish out shallw and smart-pantsy advice to others is laughable, offensive and regrettable. The Tim MAthieson who makes the huge error of protocol overseas (and us a laughing stock) by walking down red carpets to inspect honor guards, has the nerve to get up at "home" and take the mickey out of women - her anti-"mysogynist" ladyship giggling in the background.

As to your putrid (what, supposedly funny?) sneering reference to "small Asian women" just to get a cheap laugh - (and someone says here in passing "I don't like them" - also very offensive to me - as I have just such a person within my family circle, a most beautiful and intelligent Australian Sri-Lankan wife and mother, who would run rings around you in terms of style, manners, class, and sheer personal excellence in all aspects, Mr. Mathieson, racist, ignoramus!

I suggest instead of going for the "aren't I hilarious", you stick to what you know best - which is supporting Ms. Gillard and helping her walk down red carpets to inspect troops, in crass ignorance of your place.

"We" also have a Filipino born female friend who IS a GP - and she is by no means small. Offensive is NOT funny.

Having done years of research on PC, even having corresponded with the actual inventor of the PSA test, who confirms this test is not the be all to end all, PC is not only NO laughing matter, (the diagnosis and treatment options are very varied).For Mathieson to stand up and have the gall to lecture people as to how he feels them they must proceed, with a superior air of "I know better than you do", is just plain LUDICROUS - and DANGEROUS.

One specialist I know has patients with PSA's in the 1000's - yet suggests NO radical treatment.

This area is a medical minefield, Mr. Mathieson. Suggest you keep your nose well out of it. And cut the smart jokes.

And - could Ms. Gillard please give "the" perpetual white jacket to the salvo bag - surely she can come up with something more elegant and suitable on her salary - looks like a waiter. And wears it all the time.

Really, these two are an embarrassment to this nation.

And No, for anyone dealing with family with prostate cancer - this was DEFINITELY not funny, Mr. Mathieson.
