Just when you thought the failed Victorian Treasurer, Tim Pallas, could not do a worse job.

Victorians now have comprehensive confirmation that Tim Pallas in his efforts to suck more taxes out of the Victorian industry has destroyed its confidence.

It is ironic that Daniel Andrews once asked why you would ever want to visit South Australia? Today based on the Construction Industry Survey South Australia is the 'Place To Be' and Victoria is the 'Place to Flee'.
It looks like Pallas has picked up Andrews penchant for slagging off at others and destroying Victoria at the same time. What a shite show Victori ahas become under Labor.

A worrying new survey of more than 500 property insiders shows Victoria was the only state where industry confidence dropped between December and March.

Major doubt was also cast over the state’s ability to plan and manage growth, with Victoria recording a -31.6 approval rating – the lowest of any state.

The troubling numbers, recorded in a new sentiment survey by Procore and Property Council, showed Victoria was also the only state to report negative expectations for economic growth over the next twelve months.
Industry confidence was highest in South Australia.

Property Council Australia CEO Mike Zorbas lives and works in Victoria.
Mr Zorbas began the scathing piece by noting he was a Victorian.
“Bad VIC policies louder than government words,” he wrote.
“Sad to say it out loud. More so as a Victorian myself.”

He also warned that “2024 Victoria equals slow, slow planning outcomes for residential and industrial projects” and urged the Allan government to commit to “no new property taxes nor tinkering with existing taxes till the next parliament”.

Property Council of Australia Victorian Executive Director Cath Evans said while the council was a “strident supporter” of the plan, the government “urgently needs to accelerate action”.
“The industry needs a new approach and an injection of policy confidence, with the Victorian government’s performance index currently sitting -32 points, down from -24 in the last quarter and miles behind South Australia on +36 with 0 being neutral,” she said.
