I knew this bloke reminded me of somebody and it came to me this morning
There once was a very corrupt US Senator from Louisiana named Huey Long. He had much the same personality traits as Tim Walz, the stereotype game show host exploding onto a stage, everybody's buddy, a handshake made from Krupp steel, and a mouthful of lies for every occasion. A very great movie with Broderick Crawford called All the King's Men which won the Oscar in 1949 is said to be based on the career of Huey Long.
Never mind the Dem Convention, find the movie on Netflix or DVD or somewhere and see the real thing.
