I made the point few weeks back that Telstra cannot go logger head with the government as politicians could easily legislate and institute guidelines and/or laws to make life hell for a corporate giant like this one.
However the appointment of Tim Watts is a very smart and good move, they just done it a bit late, when you consider what Optus has done when they appointed Michael Egan on their side.
This Tim Fellow is the pick of the crop and his placement in this job is very very smart move by Telstra.
I am holding for long term.
