    your question is a bit vague, so I'll assume you are referring to a primary vote.

    the answer to that question is a 'no'.

    however, some of us know that it is a bit more complicated than that.

    Mandatory preferential voting makes it impossible for me to put the incumbent Daniel, the Liberal Wilson, Labor and Greens ALL last at the same time. I have to nominate them ALL in some order. Only the LAST candidate will be denied my vote.

    So, apart from an informal vote, one of these four clowns will eventually get my vote.

    and they call that democracy.
