It is time that other aspects of Toll Roads be exposed to the glaring light of day

    (1) Carbon Emission. It is the talk of the lathe set and then some, the folk who talk up the virtues of Public Transport and then ride off in their fancy limos.
Well for a given time span especially in peak hour a similar car emits much less carbon on a TR than its 'free' couzin....Somebody put a figure on it ..say 18M tonnes/yr

    (2) Time for Work / Recreation

On average it takes a motorist 30 minutes longer to travel the length of Eastlink in peak hour. ie that would mean a saving of 4595M hours in the 2008-2031. Let us assume a tarrif of $50 per hour =$229,750,000,000
    (outlandish you might say.........

    (3) Fuel Saving ...? Do the maths

    (4) Reduced accidents

    (5) Less ware and tare on vehicles
