oorain, codswallop and a completely illogical misrepresentation of the outcome. Pretty typical to just look at exceptions rather than the big picture. The vast majority of the money went to decent typical australians who made good use of their money according to their own decisions and needs. The intent was for money to circulate the economy quickly and widely and that is what happened.
Please dont envy ordinary Australians getting a helping hand to contribute to our economy during a world financial and economic crisis by looking for the exception rather than the rule. In your approach you smear the vast majority of Australians who did not spend their money as you imply. The taxpayers,the families,the pensioners,the disabled,their carers.
Even the coalition has said it supported the early phase of the stimulus package. Also the consensus is that the stimulus payments worked.
