I am inclined to agree with you. The Fed has asked for bank stress testing, which means they are worried about banks solvency. I think that we will see QE3 sooner rather than later.

It may not destroy the dollar (that is a gold bug fantasy), but it will send it back to where it has come form in the last six weeks...

... and gold will almost certainly test its recent highs.
