Eskom pay about R240 per tonne or $24-25 AUD per tonne on average. they used coal averaging CV 4700K/Cal and Sulphur 0.8% and ASH 29.8%.
So mining costs should be lower than that to be profitable. Did the BFS indicate the mining cost per tonne or FOB cost to domestic power station?
In SA they are so slow you could possibly be waiting years for a licence, but hopefully bostwana they are faster.
