I agree with Mode's explanation above and I had lot of similar experiences in my other investment even in medical. Here is an example to ponder and think
entty A noe has 100mil shares with average 0.03
the same group has entity B has 100 mil average 0.02 cent.
This group dumps all 200mil shares with price say 0.01 cent looks like cross trade or using high speed bot where their other entity C and D are the buyers of all 200Mil Shares. Bbenefit they get are
1. They can claim back their loss from 200mil shares sold which is 5MilAUD against their other profit..Remember this group mostly big and has other investment. So they have 5Mil profit free tax.
2. Their entity C and D buy 100mil share each so total is still the same 200Mil shares. But both now have very low entry of 0.01 cent...
3. After this operation they pause and start pushing SP higher again using high speed bot and say just one good ANN they can drive sp up to 5 cent.
4. They make 4 cent profit for 200mil shares...
