"anyway brokers analysts are usualy wrong, and have made many abysmal errors in the past."

Agree, most of them are just door to door salesmen looking for commission.

I could not tell you how many of these so called experts were peddling QBE last year, praising their superior experience and savvy. Word that comes to mind is multitudes.

Well it turns out that in a year full of disasters, QBE had much larger proportion of risk than their "less experienced" competitors.
In my naivety, I would say it that the were gambling heavily, betting outsiders rather than favorites and all these experts analysts were applauding.

Analyst got paid well for their ill considered opinions, losses were apportioned to trusting investors.

I am personally quite happy, with my bird in the hand.
