Ruby Red is supposed to be equiped and set up with a single point mooring system and a quick connect/disconnect vessel mounted turret (VMT) riser system (or a variation of this system)...the connection will not take weeks.
Designed to be disconnected quickly with the approach of a typhoon, and reconnected again quickly when the danger passes.
During testing with a test package from the rig, oil flowed to surface unassisted, and should this still be the case with Ruby Red attached, we will be into EWT and oil sales very quickly. No doubt the 'Lewak Champion' tested it's handiwork on the riser system before it left!
