Shouldnt this crisis in the US banking sector be an opportunity...

Shouldnt this crisis in the US banking sector be an opportunity for banks like CBA NAB etc.that havent been gutted by derivitave loan failures. One would think that instead of copping a reduction in Capital Value every time the Dow gets the runs the principals from CBA etc, should be looking at opportunities in the US to step in and take up positions that the US banks can't take up at present, instead of letting the opportunities pass and just coping it on the chin for something they did not do. This is a time when crisis means opportunity for our banks they have to be aggressive not passive.
