"12% to RIO"
as RIO's holding is common stock, any appreciation from this point will be exactly the same to sharholders across the board as it is for that 12%....
As for Teck being of vital importance, yes it makes the path to bringing the resource online in due course much more feasible ---- personally i would prefer if Tecks JV was squashed at this point & allow RXL to put the $5m from the propoesd placement towards drilling the high grade target with 100% interest...
but thats just my opinion
