You raise some good points, but unless there is information that is being withheld from the market then we are not quite there yet. Also some of the 3-5pct holders would be kicking up quite a stink I would think.
At the end of the day there is very little anyone could do, but it would tarnish the reputation of those involved if it took place after decades of stellar performance.
We have all put money in as we have been able to, to support this company, and not sold out (well I speak for myself anyway) at any of the six or so times the share has been over 2 dollars. I would be stoked (apt choice of words?) if we were all in it when it goes ballistic and makes huge earnings - however if we get bought out for some tidy sum then in the absence of any wrong doing you smile, cash in your shares, and move on. I would happily accept 20 dollars. :) ???
