'on the record' means nothing Peter. They were on the record pre-the share price crashing, when this and that was promised, and other directors/companies have donet he same thing. It doesn't look great, but it doesn't mean jack anymore to me until it actually happens.
Sad to say it seems to work that way, at least for me and in my experiences. Be glad to be proved wrong though in this instance, REALLY REALLY hoping to be proven wrong.
