Back from holiday and what a time to come back.
Time for value
My first question is, "when do we replace our CEO".
Les Davis , SLR, circa 303K package
Outstanding reputation and is first class.
Neil Froneman, GDO, $1.1M package
Coloured history at best
Made some interesting judgement calls
Some will say he eroded the reputation of GDO via optimistic targets which simply weren't met on many occasions.
Compare the packages and you soon question the value.
Furthermore, I wouldn't have Neil as CEO for any money, IMO.
Strategy
Why can't the team focus on making money and pouring o/z's?
The current strategy is about diluting company funds and staff across a thousand projects whilst dropping focus on what matters.
Moth to the flame, Rand
The next bright light is Rand Uranium.
Why would the sp slip on the Rand deal.
Well we appear to have purchased the only gold mine is SA losing money, struggling at best with an added bonus of a potential environmental disaster.
Limited visibility of the headline figures,
2010 gold price realised, US$1222o/z, underground cost US$1235
Environmental
Spending 2M rand a month on treatments for acid water with World heritage concerns.

US$250M for this deal and generating how much cash?
Time to get a new CEO and get back the focus.
