They can’t set a timeline until they have funding plus a company notice that the project is live @Create24x7 .
They likely won’t have enough funding confirmed (~$600m?) until the OFS study on the best way forward is released.
- Wood was hired to do this study last month (once two adjoining vanadium projects were legally combined on 04/02/24) and it’s expected it will be done in the lead up to the EOFY this year.
In the meantime, as @Frederic0 said, we are waiting on EPA approval and possibly news of government support (pending approvals etc)
.. also possibly an update on how AVL’s proprietary domestic vanadium battery is performing now the Mark 1 version has been installed at a private property.
Ditto we’re waiting on an update on how a pilot vanadium battery which AVL’s VSun division has installed at Kununurra for Horizon Power (a WA State Energy body) is going.
