Yeah, your probably right. Long before food increased by 10 times, there'd be declared a national emergency. And all the rest you mentioned.
Starting to get very dry up this way now. And no rain in sight for 2 weeks at least. I'm getting mixed reports from out north west. Some say it's nearly buggered, and some say it's OK. Some of my contracting neighbours are heading out next week to find out what there will be to harvest.
Around here it's all to do with stored water. Fallow crops look magnificent. No yield reduction at all and 2 inches would see 5 or 6 tonne plus. Crops into summer stubbles are doing it hard. Was always a punt. Might be looking at 1 t/h with no rain. Mine is mostly the latter but I have some on fallow.
