    kjhaze - I knew that Einstein and several other prominent U.S. Jews had protested the Deir Yassin massacre - this was even before my time, well I was just 9 years of age - but remember hearing about it even as a teenager over in Europe. It's all but forgotten.

    The lesson here is: that Nationalism, no matter whose, is a heady drug. Initially it is important for nation-building, eventually it can become toxic, because by it's very nature it is condemned to be fixated on the well-being of the one tribe only. In an 0verpopulated world we have to watch out for ourselves and others that extreme nationalism doesn't drive us into our collective graves.
