    . The outcome here does show the "Heads I win, tails you lose" nature of this case. Lehrmann is allowed to bring a case based on the dubious assertion that a program that didn't name him somehow defamed him. He managed to secure pro bono representation for his own case, while the defendants were required to pay for their defence. At the close of proceedings Lehrmann loses with costs against him, only to claim to be impecunious. So the best outcome for the defendants in this case where they're found to be in the right on the substantive matter is a loss exceeding $5 million. When you win you lose $5 million, if you lose you lose $10 million. All for a defamation proceeding where the plaintiff was never identified. Beyond belief the abuse of process that courts allow.
