    Hi Westcott,

    I dont have any read on it at all, only baseless speculation on my behalf.

    Certainly seems a little strange we are still linked to other players yet there does not appear to be any sign of it in regard to market activity.

    I spoke with another poster on friday, we discussed the strategic nature of the asset together with the first mover infrastructure advantage in what appears to be the last region (uncontrolled by the majors) for large tonnage sea borne DSO. A counter bid or what could be described as a "screw you" china move cannot be ruled out, especially given the concentrated nature of the sea borne iron ore market (Basically Rio, Vale, BHP then FMG).

    These players may want to protect market share, manage potential supply etc....or even a new entrant that has iron ore ambitions (glencore/xstrata)

    All speculation. No evidence seen of it in market activity. However cannot be ruled out. No doubt it'd be just reward for all of us if things got interesting.
