Over 90 % of arrivals by boat are (later) deemed legitimate refugees and hence given residency. The obvious reasoning is that you must be desperate if you are willing to risk your life (and the life of your family) to get here in via a dangerous sea journey.
Conversely, those arriving here via safer routes ( e.g. plane ) and seeking asylym are only succesful 20 % of the time. These people tend to be more affuluent and dare I say it, Westerners.
I note that there is no comment about the N.Zers who were deported recently.
To all you anti-illegal immigarnts, you should go to Tullamarine or Knigsford-Smith Airports and tell the arriving passengers thay are not welcome. A higher percentage and number of these people will deemed "illegal Immigants".
My bet is that you lot will not turn off your computers and get off your butts - you will just keep moaning ang whinging.
