If shareholders do their dough they deserve it for being fools.
Have a public float for a couple of budget carriers, one a bit more upmarket for the better off. No need for gold plating as will not be able to compete with foreign airlines anyway.
Can be like Telstra, sell it in tranches
Then build a cheaper fast train line between Sydney and Melbourne to open up the options for the public and stop the repression
