    Well I think Virgin can be left to its own devices and see what happens at least.

    Qatar is coming in to help and they are from a country of an oil producer so they can absorb oil shocks and provide good competition.

    This could stir competition with Emirates and other airlines. If Virgin falters might help Qantas in the initial period with lower demand while the virus is going on and they can have time to find more effective scheduling on a more rationale basis. If Virgin goes Qantas has less of a hand if they want a bailout and if they still got in trouble equity would have to be provided for sure like Air New Zealand I suppose
