Ardern and Peters need to stop the xenophobic foreign ownership restrictions and let China have a stake in AIZ. If the Chinese are interested in Australasian oil and gas interests through China New Emergy, they have designs on Australasia in the longer term.
Perhaps the Chinese will be only interested in AIZ as it is arguably NZ’s best run company by a long way but at $1.34, these unnecessary foreign ownership restrictions unfairly prejudice the AIZ SP to more than half what the Fair Value of AIZ a is worth IMHO.
