presumably they’ll be taking a look, but I think it’s unlikely given their current liquidity and trading conditions. They would need to raise a tonne of new equity which would be highly dilutive and I can’t see the NZ govt tipping in (who own ~52%) so they would need support of a few large existing and new instos. Lot of PR/reputation risk especially given their history with Ansett. That said you here’s definite strategic merit and I’d be supportive as a new shareholder.
