Please provide some proof of that claim - otherwise we'll have to believe the pollies who quote record invesetment pipelines etc - not to mention foreign takeovers of our mining companies. A list of these investment meccas would also be appreciated.
As to fairness of the MRRT:
Some of us are the view that after all those years of pouring capital into mining companies that exploit our natural resources & of bearing the pain that cuases via higher interest rates, worsened trade balance due to expensive imports of machinery, a higher $Aud; all the while paying pitiful dividends & not even delivering decent share prices, that some profit should come back to Australians before it's squandered on bloated executive remuneration or sold for a song via overseas takeovers.
