The AUKUS unites our bonds to our allies for the next generation of Australians. $400 billion is not a large sum compared to other socialist agendas considering the long life of the subs.
Your sentiment is understood but is not at all pragmatic in the unstable world in which we live. We should be spending more on defence even if it means higher taxes for all. Your argument about paying zero taxes is totally outside this and a diversion to what is a failure by our governments over many decades and needs to be addressed as a separate issue.
