    The Japanese invasion currency issued for different occupied territories clearly bore the names of the specific regions, such as "Malaya," "Netherlands Indies," and "Oceania" (which referred to Pacific islands and parts of Southeast Asia). There was no currency specifically marked for use in Australia.

    Japan issued similar invasion money for all territories they occupied, which was intended to replace local currencies and integrate those economies into the Japanese war effort. The practice was consistent across Southeast Asia and the Pacific, but no equivalent effort was made concerning Australia.
    Forgot what other people tell you. Use some common sense, Japan occupied less than 20% of China's territory at maximum extent, and suddenly they're going to occupy all of Australia? What complete BS.
