I am ONLY talking about those in their latter years who , diagnosed with a terminal illness, with full mental capability , decide for THEMSELVES that ending up with tubes here and there , massive painkillers , no ability/ POWER to make decisions re their lives , stuck in a ward wearing nappies constantly awaiting ...what ? A miracle cure for stage 4 cancer in your 80's ?
I experienced it with a close relative in his 80's , a once extremely strong male reduced to nappies and probes .He used to ask me to 'end it'....please. That look of desperation in his eyes...i will never forget. He was a prisoner and he knew it.
