no idea why you want to compare US debt with Oz in this thread. no point in comparing the two as they are vastly different and has virtually no relevance on how immigration has impacted the Oz economy. We were talking about immigration in this country, not US.
If we go back to the OP's original idea of curbing immigration for some time, then I'm not so sure it's a bad idea. I think today, the impact immigration has on the economy is overstated by so called "experts".
