We negatively geared a personla loan for years. I have now a bank overdraft. I refuse to use margin loans purely for the calls. The interest rates are often crucifying also. I used to have my accounts done by a tax agent and they never had a porblem using the funds from a personal loan as long as the money was seen to be withdrawn for the share purchase. I now do it myself as I refuse to pay the fees and they get it so wrong. If they are not familiar with your particular occupatin they do not have a clue. So my suggetsion is check and recheck your tax.
