It would be nice if you were correct ... but I reckon that WPL has put the frighteners on the junior partners about any wayward announcements. So I would expect an announcement tomorrow from all partners. Whether we can read anything into there being no announcement today is questionable. Being cynical .. maybe WPL is now assuming that the market will expect a duster and that's priced in .. so if that's the result there's no need to announce it until the weekly update tomorrow. The only other possibility is that they haven't reached the target zone yet ...
On another issue ... there have been several posts with comments from the Mauritanian government stating that production will start in January at 120,000 bopd. Even if the JV has to pay a higher percentage royalty at that rate of production .. I'm wondering if we will see this increase in Chinguetti production (which Potter has intimated is possible) .. to take advantage of the high oil price??? Its a possibility.
