As part of his package he gets options. they all do. so this week one tranche of his option package is due. 1,000,000 options exercising at 10c. They turn into fully paid shares, once he pays 10c per option. that is $100,000 down - which goes to the company mind you. its off market, as opposed to buying 1,000,000 on the market. That would only cost $50,000.
It is a real signal of support and belief in the company if he is does it.
