Conservative estimated sales are 500 FY09 growing to over 4000 FY13 and a market penetration of 10-15% will total 27000 units worldwide (analysts have stated this penetration to also be conservative). Obviously sales depend on how quickly hospitals are willing to embrace this new technology though new CDC requirements specifically recommend peroxide be used for high-level disinfections which is a positive for nanosonics.
To this you need to add consumables at an estimate of 80-90c/disinfection (estimates are 480 disinfections/year/unit).
The above is for the Trophon only and an Endoscope disinfector is expected to be on sale by the end of this year.
Other uses for their disinfection IP are also in the pipeline.
The sterilisation market completely dwarfs the disinfection market and good inroads seem to be being made towards nanosonics becoming a player.
