trekroner, I can remember having similar thoughts about KMN and sold at 3.2c around 3 years back and now they're about 70c. I did the same with DYL, NDO and AUZ as well. I made good money on each occasion simply by having very large positions in each company but missed the cream. This time I wont be jumping the gun just because of a few delays. The potential rewards are too big to turn my back on, especially at the current share price. I like the Peak Hill area and also believe the vanadium will probably end up as feed stock for a producer some time in the future. I dont put any value in the uranium atm and the market certainly doesn't either so that may be an upside bonus as uranium mania has barely even started compared to what is about to happen in the future. Expect plenty of talk in the coming months of the fed government taking a similar stand against the state governments as they did with industrial relations, so any u companies should do well on hype alone which will help YRR and therefore GPN.
GPN will start drilling very soon and should receive a price boost on that alone as the market will see positive proof that things are at long last moving in the right direction. There will also be more credibility gained if they manage to float off YRR without any delays. Large increases in the share price after that will depend on initial Peak Hill drill results which probably wont be available until Feb and the possibility of a j/v on Gabinintha.
My strategy will be to wait at least until YRR floats before considering selling any shares or options and then only sell enough to cover my original investment and then wait for first Peak Hill results and vanadium announcement before re-assessing my holding. This could all change depending on future announcements of course.
I think I've learned my lesson on selling 100% of holdings after a share price spike. Each time I patted myself on the back for doubling my money, but with the value of hindsight have been able to see how I could have done even better by being more patient. As a long term GPN holder I have become accustomed to waiting so there is no way I'm selling out too early this time.
I hope this gives you some insight into the mind of a spec stock tragic.
Other specs I currently hold include AEX/AEXO/BTV/BTVOC/EXT/AMG/KAL/KALO/ORO/RRS and TTR.
cheers redfrog
