Pure speculation has increased the price in the past week for nothing - no news, just speculation.
It has been averaging 1.7 - 1.8. Take 20% off (which is the normal discount) - guess what you get:

Quit the emotional stuff guys - this deal is OK and consistent with other capital raisings - at least we have $$$$ and nothing else has changed
If you bought in the 2c+ range - you've been had by the market - not MHL (unless our favourite director mate; Mark, has had to buy another beach house)
