Mate, Try living in a swag in cyclone season when your clothes get blown away and the caravan ends up a foot underwater. The rig can't move coz the grounds turned to slop and you cant drive out coz the roads are closed. You run out of veges and bread so you live on meat/damper and beer.

Granted some drillers are apes- but I know an awful lot who have paid cash for houses.
Perhaps our friend spent some time around leonora but I think he's got blasthole drillers confused with exploration boys.
I never met a driller who didn't own stock and considering its only you and the geo smiling over whats just come up in the gold pan (>15 gpt will show up in a sieve and hence warrant panning). What do you reckon is going to come up in conversation over a few beers?
