Having worked in Africa & Kazakhstan for 6 years in mining, flying on various small planes always smiling for someones camera before to take off, smiling was the easy part due to the Africans ability to smile and make you always feel welcome in their country-as though it was the first time that you had visited. Also you felt that you were achieving something great, more than just digging dirt up, that you were helping the community/employees with the flow on effects that eventuate. Some being medical care, farming education, job specific training & a sense of belonging to a company with a great future giving the nationals a sense of hope for their future & their children. On reflection it could have been me. Please give the families June 19 their day to grieve as having recently attending my grandmothers funeral I think this is what they would want. The announcements will come in due course.
